The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation comes in a rectangular glass bottle with a screw on cap. The bottle does not come with a pump which is a disdavantage considering their other ranges do come with a pump. The cap has the Fit Me labelling and the bottle has a teal accent which gives the bottle a very refreshing look. The packaging overall doesn’t look cheap and is quite sturdy so you can carry it around with you.
Shades and Texture
There is a huge confusion in the market as to how many shades this foundation range has in India. Some say it is five and some say it is six. The shades range from ivory to toffee and cover light, medium and medium-dark skin tones. Dusky ladies might still not be able to find a good match.
Considering the American counterpart to this foundation has 24 shades, launching just 6 shades in India seems very very underwhelming to me. Maybelline needs to start considering a wider range of skin tones in India. I managed to lay my hands on five shades.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation 115 Ivory: is a very pale shade with pink undertones.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation 128 Warm N**e: a very yellow undertoned shade which suits light skin tones.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation 230 Natural Buff: another warm undertoned shade which will suit light-medium skin tones
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation 310 Sun Beige: a salmon toned foundation catering to medium skin tones
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation 322 Warm Honey: another peachy undertoned foundation, leaning slightly towards the yellower side, perfect for medium skin tones.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation 330 Toffee: A very yellow undertoned foundation for medium-dusky skin tones, thought it still might not suit many dusky skin tones.
The foundation is very lightweight and blends easily. The consistency of the foundation is almost water like and I like such formulas. The foundation does not feel heavy and cakey on the skin and provides a satin matte finish. There is definitely a pore refining quality to this foundation, unlike other foundations which sink into pores, this one kind of sits on the pores and minimizes their appearance.
Coverage and Lasting Power
Considering the texture, I was not very sure of the coverage and I expected it to be light coverage but surprisingly it delivered Medium coverage and certainly buildable to full coverage. Mine being dry skin, it did manage to cling to my dry patches and felt really drying on my skin. I did try this with a good moisturizer underneath and it worked quite well that way. On my dry skin it managed to last for six hours without fading and eight and a half hours after which it started to melt into my skin and disappear. Suprisingly, my T Zone, which is an oil well, managed not to get shiny in three hours. A definitely oil controlling property. On a normal skinned person, I’m guessing it would last around 6-7 hours which is a decent staying power.
The Goods about Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation

The Bads about Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation
