Morphe 35O Palette Matte 35OM and Shimmer 35OS Review and Swatches
A couple of weeks ago I was browsing through the Morphe Brushes website and saw that the 35O Matte and Shimmer palettes were finally in stock along with the original 35O palette. After debating for over an hour on whether I should get the original palette or get both the matte and shimmer ones separately, I finally decided to get the individual ones just because what if I loved a shimmer shade so much that I would want a matte shade in it or vice versa. I finally got them last week and after playing with them I decided to share my opinion on them with you. So did I Love them? Did I Hate them? Read on to know.
Introducing The Twins! The 35OM is an ALL MATTE version of the popular 35O palette and the 35OS is an ALL SHIMMER version of the 35O palette. We love to have options when it comes to eye shadow. Just like clothes, sometimes we want to play it down and look more natural and other days we want to be the center of attention and go all out! These palettes give you the option to have the drama of shimmer or have more of a classic warm look. These eye shadows are super pigmented and creamy. They will easily become your new favorite palettes!
The Morphe Palettes come in a flat all black packaging with the Morphe logo printed on the front of the case. They remind me of the famous 120 palette packaging by Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics or any generic chinese palettes that are floating around all over the world. The pans are 1 inch are almost the same size as MAC eyeshadow pans. The pans are laid out in 5 rows with 7 eyeshadows in each row. Overall, the packaging is pretty basic and I miss having a mirror in the case just for the price I paid for it.
Price: 22.99 USD each or 43.99 USD for both as a bundle

Both the palettes come in warm neutral shades with oranges, browns, coppers and golds. Both the palettes have basically the same shades, one in a matte finish and the other in a shimmer finish. The shimmer is not chunky or glittery but is more a satin, highly intense sheen.
Pigmentation and Texture
I was seriously blown away by the pigmentation of the eyeshadows. They are smooth and buttery to touch and blend like a dream. The eyeshadows have almost no fallout at all and the matte shades are surprisingly well pigmented. For the price that I paid for these eyeshadow palettes, I was really expecting them to perform well and considering the hype around them, I’m really glad that for once a product actually lived up to its claims.
I have oily eyelids and on me, without using an eye primer, the eyeshadows lasted about 4 hours which is impressive. With a primer underneath the shadows, they last for about 6-7 hours on my lids. Some of the deeper matte shades, I’ve observed, tend to stain the skin a little, nothing that using a makeup wipe didn’t get rid of though.
I am in love with the Morphe 35OM and 35OS Palettes and seriously suggest you get both or either one or the original 35O palette. Trust me you will not be disappointed. The warm shades in the palettes are perfect for any eye look that you might have in mind and I’m in love.
Take a look at the swatches of the palettes below. All Swatches are taken on bare skin without any primer. See how well pigmented they are!!
